Wayne State University College of Nursing's urban health research conference will be held virtually on the Whova conference app with Zoom meetings. Please mark April 14 and 15, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, on your calendar.

Conference platform tutorial session available

Lindsey Rossow-Rood, Development Director and Co-Chair of the urban health research conference, will be hosting a tutorial session on how to navigate the conference platform and maximize your experience. The Whova web app will serve as the access point to all of the sessions, posters, and community boards.

Once you have set-up your Whova account, you will be able to access the web based platform at whova.com/portal/webapp/ciuh_202004/ to begin to engage, network and learn:

  • Review the conference agenda
  • Peruse the poster gallery and submit questions to the presenter
  • Participate in community boards
  • View the job board and/or post current job openings
  • Connect with fellow attendees, exhibitors and sponsors

Technology tips for a successful conference

In preparation for a successful virtual research conference experience, make sure you are ready to go the week before! The conference will run on the online platform Whova in conjunction with Zoom meetings. You will need an account with both Whova and Zoom to participate.
